PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Heather Lamb Consulting, LLC
- Independent Learning Technologies Consultant, October, 2015 - Present
- Through an active personal learning network, I cultivate and nurture a large network of educators working collaboratively towards positive student outcomes no matter what the technology. I work with district administrators asking the tough questions about technology plans - where are you right now vs where do you want to be.
- When evaluating a program, the first question shouldn't be about the tool... the tool should not be leading the learning... never and it should not be our conversations are lead by the shiny, new objects. The conversation should include questions about the entire ecosystem, showcasing why these tools support the entire system and influence the change in behaviors of the teachers, students, administrators and even communities.
- What's got me curious right now? Design thinking... the social dynamics to rethink and redesign the classroom. The insights behind 'listening with your eyes' and discover what people really care about while being empathic to their needs & wants; being creative enough with these insights to think about the innovation in this space whatever this is defined as being. What makes learning great? How does technology affirm and advance the relationships between educators and students?
